2) give you advice.

Dear Jack,
I am extremely delighted to receive your email. Your congratulations brought me joy and happiness. I really appreciate it.
Translation, like everything else worthwhile, takes time and efforts. But there are some useful tricks to improve it. Firstly, you are supposed to read extensively both in English and in Chinese, because language proficiency is the key to translation. Besides, you should learn some translation methods. In addition, you have to remember: practice makes perfect.
