Last week, our English teacher did a survey about our ways to study English. There are 60 students in our class and everyone has his or her own ways.
Half of the students study by reading the textbook. In this way, they can memorize many sentence patterns. Fifteen of us study by watching English programs on TV. It helps to improve listening. Eight students say they study by working with friends. They think they can practice spoken English. Five students study by reading English magazines and newspapers. They think it is a good way to improve their reading ability. And only two of us study by asking the teacher for help because most of us are afraid of talking with teachers.
From the result of the survey, we can see many students only depend on the textbook to learn English. I think we should study English in different ways so that we can make our listening, speaking, reading and writing better at the same time.
