So she decided to practise bowing at home. After some time, she felt sure about herself and went to the airport. When she arrived, Julie just came out of her plane. Sarah recognized Julie at the first time because Julie showed her photo to Sarah before. Sarah was happy to see Julie and she began to bow to her. But guess what? Julie took out her hand and shook hands with Sarah!

She decided to park her car on the roadside and walked home. It would take her an hour to walk home. Just at that time, a homeless man came towards her. After saying “hello” to her, he began to repair the car for her. It only took him ten minutes to manage it. Diana was so thankful for the man’s help and she took out 300 dollars for him. But the homeless man said to her that he was the man whom she offered 30 dollars to three years ago near here. D. 听填信息
你将听到一篇短文,请你根据所听内容填写下面的信息卡。短文听两遍。
(W) Good evening, everyone. It’s World Time again. In today’s program, let’s learn how people in French-speaking countries greet.
In most French-speaking countries, it’s considered good manners to greet everyone. So, whether you’re speaking to a clerk, a waiter, or just knocking into someone on the street, take the time to say “good morning” in French before you do anything else.
Cheek kissing is another common way of greeting in most French-speaking countries. However, the rules change depending on the country you’re in. For example, in Belgium, it’s normal to greet everyone of your age or younger with one kiss, but anyone who is much older than you should be given three kisses (right cheek, left, and then right again). In Paris, most people stick to a four-kiss rule, but in most parts of France, two kisses are common.
That’s all for today’s program. Meet you next Wednesday at the same time.

Global warming is a real problem. Firstly, many animals don’t like high temperatures. When they find the area that they live in starts to get hotter, some animals can move to other cooler environment, but others can only wait for death there. Another problem is that when the temperature of the Earth increases, the sea levels rise, and some land will be covered by water. As a result, some seaside cities will disappear.
As teenagers, we should do something to prevent global warming. We should go to school by bike or on foot instead of by car. We should save water, electricity, paper and so on. We should call on more people to protect the environment together. As long as everyone makes an effort, the Earth will become a better place to live in.
