Should students be encouraged to read martial arts novels?
Some schools have added the martial arts novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils to students’ reading list for holidays. However, there are different opinions on whether students should be encouraged to read martial arts novels.
Some people think students should keep away from martial arts novels. The novels are usually very interesting, so students may get addicted to them. But others agree with the idea of allowing students to read martial arts novels. They believe students can learn something about Chinese history and culture from those books. What’s more, they can learn to tell right from wrong by reading the novels.
In my opinion, reading martial arts novels can help us relax. However, we should choose nice ones with the help of our teachers or parents. What’s more, we shouldn’t spend too much time on them.
